U8

As your child approaches their fourth birthday, it’s time for another important milestone: the U8 examination. This is an opportunity for your doctor to check your child’s overall development and give you valuable advice on a range of topics.
During the U8 examination, your doctor will give your child a physical examination, including vision and hearing tests. They will also evaluate your child’s motor skills, including how well they can move and manipulate objects. The doctor will observe your child’s behavior and interaction with you to get a sense of their social skills.
In terms of developmental milestones, your child might be able to climb stairs easily, catch a bouncing ball, and draw a figure with arms and legs. They should also be able to follow simple instructions and understand basic concepts, like colors and shapes. Socially, your child may be starting to form friendships and understand how to share and trade with others. It’s important to encourage this type of social interaction while also setting boundaries and teaching your child about appropriate behavior.
Don’t hesitate to ask your doctor any questions you may have, and take advantage of the opportunity to receive advice and guidance on how to support your child’s growth and development.
Your childs Vaccination booklet (Impfheft) will be checked
You will also receive more advice on feeding and nutrition and overweight
Your doctor will inform you to go to the dentist. Toothpaste with fluoride will be recommendet.
The U9 Check-up will be around your kids fifth birthday. Make an appointment in good time :)
